How a placement works

  1. 1

    Create a profile

Sign in with your email address, no password and no CV. Takes about three minutes.

  2. 2

    Enter your times

Choose the weeks, weekdays and times when you can work. Change them any time.

  3. 3

    Accept an offer

If a business fits, we ask you first. We only pass on your details after you say yes.

Trained professionals

We also place chefs, restaurant and hotel professionals: for the whole season, part-time or permanent. You upload your CV, references and health certificate once and share them per position.

Frequently asked questions

I am self-employed. Can I get assignments through you?

Yes, from age 18 and if you genuinely work self-employed, meaning with a registered trade or as a freelancer, for example as a service professional or chef. In your profile you choose “Self-employed, on assignment”, optionally enter your hourly rate and whether you are available at short notice. You sign the contract directly with the business and invoice them yourself. No money goes through us, and it is free for you.

Does it cost me anything?

No. Everything is free for candidates, now and later. Our work is paid for only by businesses through their membership.

From what age can I join?

From 16. At 16 and 17 you sign up yourself; we do not need confirmation from your parents. The youth employment protection rules apply to you, though, for example shifts ending by 10 pm at the latest. Unfortunately we cannot place anyone younger.

Who sees my data?

Only us. A business only gets your contact details once you have agreed to a specific suggestion, and this is logged. Uploaded documents are only included if you tick them for that suggestion.

What does placement cost for businesses?

Businesses become members and pay no fee per hire. The monthly fee depends on how many candidates are active within 15 km of the business's postcode: under 30 candidates €0, from 30 candidates €29, from 100 candidates €59, from 250 candidates €99 net per month. On jobtresen.de/en/betriebe you can see what applies to you after entering your postcode. We announce a higher tier 6 weeks in advance, you only pay if you book it yourself, and membership can be cancelled monthly. Anyone who joins while it is still free for them pays 50% less permanently. There is no guarantee of a hire.

What is the difference between casual staff and freelancers?

You employ casual staff, for example as a mini-job or short-term employment: you are the employer, set the roster and instructions and register the person. Freelancers take on an assignment on their own responsibility, with their own trade, their own invoice and their own price, without an employment contract. What matters is not the contract but how the work actually happens: anyone working to your roster like your employees is usually employed, even if they write an invoice. Good fits are, for example, a hired chef with several clients, event and catering service, a bartender for an event or cover for a head chef.
